Future Talents Cup series starting with a draw: PSV Eindhoven - Ferencvárosi TC (U17) 2:2 (2:1)
The U17 teams of PSV and Ferencváros (“Fradi”) spent the first minutes of the match probing each other, for it was not until the 11th minute that the first opportunity offered itself for Eindhoven in the form of a free kick: when the ball came bouncing back it was centred by Daneels but it was out of reach for Kun arriving on the other side of the pitch so it whizzed past the left post. Nyéki received a superb pass on the other side of the field but instead of taking a shot on target he passed the ball on, however Dragóner failed to reach it. PSV then took the lead in the 17th minute when after a left wing attack Faye sent the ball into the left of the goal. It only took four minutes for Fradi to equalise when Dragóner zigzagged past two defenders and shot into the far left corner from 14 metres: 1-1. The Dutch had taken the lead by half-time, as shortly before the referee’s whistle they were granted a penalty kick which was taken by the Hungarian Kun who made no mistake and rolled the ball into the left bottom corner.
The first opportunity came 10 minutes after the beginning of the second half when Fradi’s Nyéki escaped on the left wing but the Dutch goalie stepped out of the goal at the perfect moment to clear the ball to corner. At six minutes to go Nyéki centred the ball which Dragóner – tricking the goalkeeper – sent into the net from close range, bringing the end result to:
